ABL playoffs begin with Ravena’s debut for Alab Pilipinas

At long last, the playoffs of the 2016-2017 Asean Basketball League is upon us.

Meaning, at long last, Kiefer Ravena playing for Alab Pilipinas is upon us.

Ravena teams up with Ray Parks Jr. to lead the Filipinos in their best-of-three semifinals series against Singapore that starts on Sunday.

Game 1 of Alab versus the Slingers, also the first game in the ABL playoffs, tips-off at 4:00 PM at the OCBC Arena.

The two teams split their elimination round meetings with the Philippines taking the first two and Singapore taking the latter two.

Still, the Filipinos have all the confidence as they enter the Final Four having won back-to-back against top-seed Hong Kong and also-ran Kaohsiung. More than that, they will also be welcoming another two-time UAAP MVP to fortify their backcourt.

The homecourt advantage, however, remains with the Slingers who also ended the elimination round on a high by walloping fellow playoff team Saigon.

Third-seed Alab take on second-seed Singapore and all of the action will be streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/abl. Game 1 will then be broadcast on the same day on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 at 8:00 PM.
