Ronald Tubid is suspended two games after he was called for a flagrant foul penalty 2 for hitting Chris Newsome in the face.
Ronald Tubid said Sunday that he was fine getting fined after he hit Chris Newsome to the face during San Miguel and Meralco's 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup encounter.
The hit, which Tubid says was unintentional, left Newsome with a bloodied face.
"Part of the game lang yun. Kung nataon na kasalanan, kasalanan. Kung fine, fine. Wala tayong magagawa. As a professional, kung ififine ako ng PBA, kasalanan ko naman. Minsan kasi ganun, nagswing ako, di ko maiwasan, promise. Nataon sa ulo eh," the veteran enforcer said after the Beermen's opening win in the mid-season conference.
After getting summoned by the Commissioner, turns out Tubid is not only getting fined. He's also being suspended for two games on top of the P30,000 he has to pay for his flagrant fould penalty 2 on Newsome.
Tubid will serve his suspension on April 7 against Phoenix and on April 16 when San Miguel takes on Star.
