Headband and cut hardly a distraction for LA
The headband and the cut didn't seem to bother Tenorio all that much against the Hotshots though as the veteran floor general was one of the main guys that led the Gin Kings to victory.

Late in Ginebra's win over Globalport, LA Tenorio got hit by Rico Maierhofer to the face, causing the 2016 PBA Governors' Cup Final MVP to have a rather nasty cut.

Against Star for Manila Clasico, Tenorio showed up with a black headband, not as a fashion statement but more for functionality.

Although he didn't exactly use the headband for what it's originally meant for.

"Pantakip lang talaga yun dito [cut]. Baka kasi tamaan eh," Tenorio said on his basketball accessory.

"Hindi ko na pinatahi eh. I just made sure lang na hindi na ulit tatamaan kasi pag tinamaan ulit, malamang mukhang every game na ako maghe-headband," he added with a laugh.

"Actually pinahiram sa akin ni Chris Ellis yun, white talaga nabili ko."

The headband and the cut didn't seem to bother Tenorio all that much against the Hotshots though as the veteran floor general was one of the main guys that led the Gin Kings to victory.

Tenorio scored 21 points against Star, backing up import Justin Brownlee as the Gin Kings completed a 27-point turnaround for their second straight win.

"Siguro ano lang, during the course of the game, talagang nafe-feel na namin yung rhythm, especially the latter part of the game," Tenorio said as Ginebra practically controlled the entire contest after Star zoomed to a 12-point lead early in the third period.

"I think it's a good momentum win for us, especially going into a long break," he added.
