Like most Catholic Filipinos, LA Tenorio takes his Holy Week traditions pretty seriously.

However, with the Gin Kings still in the middle of the PBA season, Ginebra's star point guard will work around ways to do his penance this year the same way he works the defense of opponents.

"I do Visita Iglesia either Thursday or Friday. I used to do it with my family and cousins sa Batangas, but this time, baka with the family here and kids," Tenorio said on the common Lenten practice of visiting seven churches.

"Hopefully magawa ko ng Thursday, kasi may practice kami ng Thursday and Friday so we'll see," he added.

Aside from doing Visita Iglesia, Tenorio is also pretty serious about his sacrifices every year during Lenten season.

That means no eating out during Fridays.

“No-meat Friday. I observe that every year pagka-Lenten season," the 2016 Governors' Cup Finals MVP said.

With Ginebra having no games scheduled for this year's Holy Week, ultimately, this mini-break is a time for family says Tenorio.

With the Gin Kings winning back-to-back games, including a big one on Manila Clasico last Palm Sunday, Tenorio's mind is at ease, for now.

“We’ll spend time with the family. Konting break muna sa basketball. Maganda na nananalo rin kami, at least hindi rin ako masyado mag-iisip about the games," Tenorio said.
