ALL-OUT. Kiefer Ravena got 100 percent love from the Filipinos in Bulacan.
Kiefer Ravena’s stint in the Asean Basketball League was, put simply, short and sweet.
After being added to the lineup in early March, Ravena was finally activated for Alab Pilipinas’ semifinals series against Singapore.
He made an immediate impact in Game 1 two Sundays ago before actually leading the way last Friday.
Unfortunately, both efforts were far from enough and the 23-year-old and the rest of the Filipinos were blanked in the series and booted out of the tournament.
Nonetheless, Ravena cherished the chance to chance to have donned the blue, red, and white once more. “Masaya lang yung experience ko. Even just in the course of a week and a half, I should say, marami akong natutunan,” he said.
He then continued, “Sobrang saya kasi ang sarap ng pag sasama ng lahat. Sayang lang na-short.”
More than Alab, the former two-time UAAP MVP also cherished the chance to have played in front of his kababayans in his home country – something he hasn’t done since, well, starring in the UAAP.
Nothing but amazed at the all-out support from the full-house crowd at the Baliwag Star Arena last Friday, Ravena expressed, “Itong support na ‘to, ibang klase. Ibang klase pa rin yung fans.”
