17 players present as Gilas begin daily practices

THE GRIND. From today to two weeks forward, Gilas Pilipinas will be holding daily practices.
While more than a few key cogs were missing, Gilas Pilipinas still went to work in the first day of their day-to-day training sessions on Monday at the Kerry Sports Manila in Taguig.
Mainstays Jayson Castro, Calvin Abueva, Terrence Romeo, and Troy Rosario fronted the effort for the national team’s first daily practice to gear up for the 2017 SEABA Championship.
Also present were Raymond Almazan, Carl Bryan Cruz, Ed Daquioag, Fonso Gotladera, Jonathan Grey, Bradwyn Guinto, Allein Maliksi, Von Pessumal, Roger Pogoy, Mike Tolomia, Norbert Torres, Almond Vosotros, and Matthew Wright.
Mac Belo, LA Revilla, and Arnold Van Opstal were at the venue, but sat out due to various injuries.
Among those absent from the training session were Japeth Aguilar, June Mar Fajardo, and Jiovani Jalalon.
From today to two weeks forward, head coach Chot Reyes will hold daily training sessions to help determine the final lineup which will represent the country in the regional tournament.
Reyes will name the final lineup on April 28.
