Manny Pacquiao was at a Mahindra game for the first time in the 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup Wednesday. The Floodbuster lost by 29 points.
Philippine Senator and reigning WBO World welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao made his first appearance in the 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup Wednesday night.
He didn't suit up but he saw his Mahindra team up close against the San Miguel Beermen.
What he saw wasn't pretty.
The Beermen led by as many as 34 points against the Floodbuster in a game that was practically over in the first quarter.
San Miguel cruised to a 29-point win and the Pacman went home little early.
"I think he already left even before the game ended. We're all disappointed but we can't keep our head down too long," top deputy Chris Gavina said.
Losing a fourth straight game to dropped to 1-6 for the conference, Gavina admits that frustration is mounting inside the Mahindra camp.
And while Pacquiao didn't exactly voice his displeasure over the team's current state, if him walking out of the Cuneta Astrodome a little early was his way of showing his frustration, Gavina perfectly understands his boss.
"Who wouldn't be disappointed after this performance? We didn't even give ourselves a fighting chance tonight," Gavina said.
"I hope these guys are challenged," he added.
