NLEX trades for embattled Mallari
Averaging 12 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists, Mallari now gets a fresh start under Yeng Guiao in NLEX.

Desperately looking for something to spark its PBA campaign, NLEX has traded for embattled forward Alex Mallari the league announced Friday.

The Road Warriors acquired the former PBA Grand Slam champion from the Floodbuster in exchange of Glenn Khobuntin and Eric Camson.

NLEX also received Kenneth Ighalo and a 2020 second round pick in the deal.

Losers of eight sraight in the Commissioner's Cup, this is NLEX's second trade in the mid-season conference after acquiring Rabeh Al-Hussaini from Meralco in March.

Mallari has been at odds with Mahindra the last couple of months with top deputy Chris Gavina calling him out in public for being a "crybaby" and a "detriment" to te Floodbuster's Commissioner's Cup campaign.
