No Castro, Fajardo as TNT takes on San Miguel
Currently undefeated at 5-0, the reigning three-time Philippine Cup champions go for a sweet sixth straight victory as the Beermen take on TNT in the main 7:00 p.m. at the Big Dome.

Now we'll see just how powerful San Miguel really is.

With June Mar Fajardo already serving his duties with Gilas Pilipinas, the Beermen take the court Friday in the 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup without their top ace.

Currently undefeated at 5-0, the reigning three-time Philippine Cup champions go for a sweet sixth straight victory as the Beermen take on TNT in the main 7:00 p.m. at the Big Dome.

Fortunately for San Miguel, the KaTropa (4-2) will also miss the services of star Jayson Castro and young guns Troy Rosario and RR Pogoy as the trio are also part of the national team's final lineup for the 2017 SEABA Championships.

The anticipated battle of PBA dynasties also has another layer as both squads play each other right away after engaging in a trade that sent RR Garcia to TNT from San Miguel for Matt Ganuelas-Rosser.

The trade that took place almost two weeks ago was the first direct transaction between both franchises since 2008 when San Miguel acquired Jay Washington for a first round draft pick TNT then used to select Castro.

In the first game at 4:15 p.m., the Phoenix Fuel Masters (3-5) will take on the Globalport Batang Pier (2-5). Both teams will be without Matthew Wright and Terrence Romeo respectively as both scorers are also with Gilas Pilipinas.
