You always want to be on the winning side of a basketball trade.

For one game at least, it appears Mahindra got a pretty nice haul after acquiring Glenn Khobuntin and Eric Camson from NLEX in exchange for the embattled Alex Mallari.

The two new guys stepped right into the spotlight Sunday, helping the Floodbuster earn a crucial win against Blackwater to keep their 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup campaign alive.

Khobuntin and Camson combined for 24 points vs. Blackwater, providing positive energy Mahindra sorely needs.

"Amazing effort from our new guys, Glenn and Eric," top deputy Chris Gavina said after the Floodbuster picked up their second win.

"Glenn and Eric, i think have really bought in quickly. They've only been with us for three days, and they've had an immediate impact towards the rest of our guys, and our guys have embraced him," he added.

Having a new opportunity in Mahindra, both Khobuntin and Camson are just happy to repay the trust given to them by "kuya" Gavina.

"He's cool [Gavina]. Ito parang kuya," Khobuntin said.
