Finally, the time has come to play ball.

Defending champion Philippines opens its 2017 SEABA campaign Friday at the Araneta Coliseum, starting its journey to qualify for the 2017 FIBA-Asia Cup and the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

The no. 27 ranked Gilas Pilipinas takes on unranked Myanmar in the main game of a triple-header to start the sub-regional tournament.

Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.

Fielding a loaded lineup headlined by naturalized center Andray Blatche, the Chooks to Go backed national team will look to extend its current 30-game winning streak at SEABA.

Since winning its first SEABA title in 1998, the Philippines has won a total of 7 championships including the 2015 edition. Gilas skipped the 2013 tournament and the country was suspended by FIBA in 2005 and had no team.

In the first game at 3:00 p.m., Indonesia will face Singapore while Malaysia and Thailand take the court at 5:00 p.m.
