Gilas gets rock star treatment from Malaysian
DO IT FOR THE GRAM.

Manila, Philippines --- There was some extra curricular activities at the end of the Gilas Pilipinas-Malaysia game Sunday in the 2017 SEABA Championships.

It wasn't anything confrontational, just some Malaysian players taking the opportunity to take some photos with the players that just beat them by 55 points.

You know, do it for the Gram.

After Gilas Pilipinas won a third straight game in the regional showcase by taking care of Malaysia, 106-51, Terrence Romeo and Raymond Almazan were approached by opposing players asking for some photos.

"Nagulat ako. Yung iba, sabi sa akin na idol ako," Romeo said after playing his best game of the tournament so far, finishing with 12 points and seven assists.

"Nakakatuwa na kahit taga ibang bansa, iniidolo tayong mga Pilipino. Masaya ako na nakakapag-inspire rin ako ng ibang players sa ibang bansa," he added.

"Sana makalaro ko ulit sila."

Almazan shared Romeo's statement, saying he was flattered that someone outside of the Philippines was paying close attention to his basketball career in the PBA.

"Idol niya raw ako eh. Pinapanood niya raw ako," the Rain or Shine center said.

"Sabi niya can I take a picture with you, sabi ko okay okay," he added.
