Taking a break Monday, the Philippines, armed with a 3-0 record, is now half a game down to Indonesia in the 2017 SEABA Championships after Mario Wuysang and co. blasted Vietnam, 95-52, to improve to a perfect 4-0.

However, with the Indonesians taking their rest Tuesday, the Filipinos can tie things up once again provided they get past the  Thais (3-1) in the main game at the Araneta Coliseum at 7:00 p.m.

Winning all three of its game by an average of 69.6 points, Gilas Pilipinas is expected to take its first real challenge against Thailand whose only loss in the regional showcase so far came at the hand of the Indonesians by one point.

While the Philippines remain the heavy favortie, Thailand is coming off a confidence-boosting win against Myanmar to set up its matchup against Gilas.

In the first game at 3:00 p.m., Myanmar and Singapore go for their first win of the tournament while Malaysia takes on Vietnam in the 5:00 p.m. joust.
