PERFECT. Malaysia is the only other undefeated team aside from Batang Gilas.
Malaysia has had all the answers through three games in the 2017 SEABA Under-16 Championship.
Starting strong for an early lead that proved insurmountable, the Malaysians took care of business against Singapore, 77-56, at the Araneta Coliseum, Tuesday.
The 21-point beatdown was Malaysia’s loudest statement yet even after back-to-back wins against Indonesia and Thailand to open its campaign.
The kids from Kuala Lumpur left no doubt in this one right from tip-off as they rampaged to a 23-5 lead.
The Singaporeans would not be able to mount any threat for the remainder of the game.
John Tang remained a force with 19 points and five rebounds and was yet again backtopped by Yi Kang Teoh with 15 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
Still, there remains one riddle the undefeated Malaysians are yet to solve in the form of host team Philippines.
They take a one-day break before waging war against the favorites in the last game of the tournament on Thursday.
Singapore had no players in double-digits as they dropped to 0-2.
They again shoot for win number one against Indonesia on Wednesday.
