Indonesia sets up SEABA title match against Gilas after rout of Myanmar

Finally at full strength with the debut of Jamarr Johnson, the Indonesians improved to 5-0 in the regional showcase on the eve of their highly-anticipated matchup against the Filipinos.

Indonesia maintained its perfect run in the 2017 SEABA Championships, blasting Myanmar Wednesday, 123-50, at the Araneta Coliseum here.
Finally at full strength with the debut of Jamarr Johnson and Arki Wisnu, the Indonesians improved to 5-0 in the regional showcase on the eve of their highly-anticipated matchup against the Filipinos.
Gilas is currently at 4-0 as of press time.
Despite Myanmar showing some steady improvement, the Burmese were still no match as the Indonesians posted their best win so far in the tournament.
Indonesia turned up the heat in the second half, scoring 68 points to put away the now 0-5 Myanmar side.
"Myanmar is I think one level below us so we won by a big margin," head coach Wahyu Widayat Jati said as the focus for this game was mostly to get Johnson and Wisnu off and running in time for the game against Gilas.
"They [Johnson and Wisnu] just joined the team this game. It's good for us for facing [the] Philippines tomorrow. I hope they can give us more energy," he added.
Abraham Grahita actually led Indonesia in scoring with 19 points followed by Hardianus Lakudu with 18. Johnson wound up with 17 points on top of seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block.
For Myanmar, crowd favorite Aung Wana once again emerged as the team's leading scorer, going for 16 points off the bench.
