This must be what Chot Reyes envisioned when he put a premium on youth for the latest reiteration of Gilas Pilipinas.
As the national team's preparation for the Jones Cup, the Southeast Asian Games, and the FIBA-Asia Cup, shifts into higher gear next week, Reyes expects some of the country's best young prospects to finally join practice.
After finishing 11th in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in France with an even 2-2 record, Reyes expects Kobe Paras, Kiefer Ravena, and Jeron Teng to report for Gilas duty once practice resumes Tuesday, June 27.
"On Tuesday, Kobe and Kiefer should be here, so that's important," Reyes said.
"We expect a more complete line-up already," he added.
Aside from the 3x3 World Cup crew, Gilas Pilipinas also expects Fil-German Christian Standhardinger to arrive next week to join training.
"I think Standhardinger is arriving on Tuesday as well or baka on Wednesday pa," Reyes said on the 27-year-old pro.
Aside from Kobe and co. Gilas Pilipinas already had the returning Ray Parks in training Thursday as well as former FEU Tamaraw Raymar Jose.
17-year-old Fil-Nigerian prospect AJ Edu also participated in two practices for the national team although he's already set to depart for China to compete in the FIBA U-18 3x3 Cup.
