TNT honors Smith's pregnant girlfriend with patch and win
Kristy Ochoa, Smith's girlfriend who is back home in the States, is pregnant and is expected to give birth any time now.

Aside from the PBA Finals patch that is sewn on the left side of their jerseys, TNT KaTropa had another patch during Game 4 of their titular showdown against San Miguel Beer.

The KaTropa had "Kristy" on their jerseys Wednesday night and it turns out it's a special tribute by the team to import Joshua Smith's girlfriend.

Kristy Ochoa, Smith's girlfriend who is back home in the States, is pregnant and is expected to give birth tomorrow.

"Kristy is the girlfriend of Josh, manganganak na. It's a rallying point because unang-una, Josh has been playing hurt," head coach Nash Racela, explaining the accessory.

"I know he’s got some improvements already, but the second thing is that she’s giving birth. If you are hurt, you could use that as an excuse to go home so that you’ll be there beside your girlfriend giving birth, pero he chose to stay here and play in the Finals and work for the championship. We just want to honor Joshua and his girlfriend," he added.

Smith, who had his best Game since draining the winning-shot in Game 1, is excited to see his daughter obviously.

However, he wants to finish his business with TNT first before he worries about other things like deciding on the name of the baby.

Smith says he and his partner are currently down to three options.

"They [TNT] know what I’m sacrificing outside of my foot, but the birth of my daughter. It probably won’t hit me until she’s actually out. She’s due tomorrow," Smith said of Kristy.

"I really have a lot to say. I’m happy, anxious, nervous. I want to see what this baby looks like. We’re still playing with a lot of names, with three. Once she’s out, we’ll go from there," he added.
