The Philippines will be streaking as it enters the next round of the 2017 FIBA 3X3 Under-18 Championship.
The team of Rhayyan Amsali, Juan Gomez de Liano, AJ Edu, and Encho Serrano made quick work of both their opponents on Friday in Chengdu, China to finish the preliminary round with a 3-1 slate.
Finishing second in Group A, they will advance to the quarterfinals for the very first time.
The Filipinos walloped Poland, 20-14, earlier in the day before whipping Turkmenistan, 21-14.
The back-to-back wins add to their 19-17 conquest of Israel last Wednesday for what has been quite the impressive run in the tournament.
Thus far, the only team to have bested the Philippines is Group A topnotcher Netherlands.
The team of NU Jrs. standout Amsali, UP prized recruit Gomez de Liano, towering Edu, and hyper-athletic Serrano will now face off against Pool D top-seed Belgium on Sunday.
