Castro says TNT must show killer instinct to take down SMB
After losing control of the best-of-7 series anew, The Blur is still convinced his team can take down the mighty Beermen and end TNT's two-year PBA title drought.

Despite being down 2-3 in the 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals against San Miguel Beer, TNT's alpha dog Jayson Castro remains defiant.

After losing control of the best-of-7 series anew, The Blur is still convinced his team can take down the mighty Beermen and end TNT's two-year PBA title drought.

Castro's enduring confidence is not without substance though, San Miguel has shown some serious cracks thorugh the course of the series with Game 5 as the latest example.

TNT smashed the Beermen in the second quarter of Friday night's game, taking a 15-point lead at the break.

However, just like in Game 2 when they started on a historic 17-0 run, the KaTropa failed to finish the job.

"Nakita niyo naman na kaya naming lamangan. Siguro kung paano lang kontrolin yung game, dun kami nawala," Castro said.

With a must-win Game 6 coming up, Castro, who celebrated his 31st birthday Friday, hopes TNT can finally match San Miguel's killer instinct.

The KaTropa have no other choice really.

"Once na lamang kami, may tendency na nagre-relax," Castro said.

"Yung killer instinct namin... kasi makakabalik at makakabalik sila [from a deficit]," the Blur added talking about the Beermen. "Marami silang weapon para makabalik eh. Once nangyari ulit yun, mas focus dapat kami kung paano sila idiin talaga."
