After missing the 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup due to knee injury, Blackwater's Mac Belo will make his return to basketball and will suit up for Gilas Pilipinas in the 2017 William Jones Cup.
Belo, who suffered a meniscus tear on his left knee that required surgery, was part of the lineup for the national team that was revealed by Gilas head coach Chot Reyes on Twitter Tuesday.
Belo will be joined by fellow Gilas cadets Matthew Wright, RR Pogoy, Mike Tolomia, Carl Bryan Cruz, Von Pessumal, Jio Jalalon, Kevin Ferrer, Ed Daquioag, and Alfonso Gotladera for the July 15-23 tournament in Taipei.
Completing the lineup are Kobe Paras, Kiefer Ravena, Fil-German Christian Standhardinger, Raymar Jose, Almond Vosotros, and Mike Myers who was TNT's standy import for the Commissioner's Cup.
Wright, Pogoy, and Jalalon will make their second tour of duty for Gilas this year after previously winning gold during the 2017 SEABA Championships in Manila last May.
After the Jones Cup, Paras, Ravena, Jose, Tolomia, Vosotros, Pessumal, Standhardinger, Cruz, and Ferrer will see action for the national team in the 2017 SEA Games.
