Both Gilas Pilipinas and South Korea enter their highly-anticipated matchup at 3-1 and this game could have major championship implications in the Jones Cup.
Gilas Pilipinas has gone streaking in the 39th William Jones Cup but the national team will have a tough outing for its day 5 assignment in Taiwan.
The Philippines will take on archrival South Korea Wednesday in Taipei, looking to win a fourth straight game and continue its chase for the championship.
After a bummer against Canada, Gilas Pilipinas beat Taipei A and Taipei B back-to-back. On Tuesday, the Philippines dominated in the fourth quarter vs. Japan, improving to 3-1.
However, as with every other game against them, the South Koreans should prove to be a tough out for Gilas as they likewise come in at 3-1 after a loss to Lithuania.
The anticipated showdown between Gilas and Korea will be at 5:00 p.m.
