Gilas draws tough Iraq for its next Jones Cup assignment
Gilas Pilipinas saw its three-game wining streak snapped and dropped to 3-2 following the Korea loss, at least one full game behind the tournament leaders with four games left to play.

Wednesday was not a good day for Gilas Pilipinas in the Jones Cup.

Not only did the team shot four percent from beyond the arc on its way to a tough loss to rvial South Korea, the defeat dealt a big blow to the Philippines' title chances for the Taipei invitational.

Gilas Pilipinas saw its three-game wining streak snapped and dropped to 3-2 following the Korea loss, at least one full game behind the tournament leaders with four games left to play.

Regardless of the standings, Gilas will have a chance to regroup ahead of another tough matchup against Lithuania as the Philippines take on Iraq for its Day 6 assigment.

A revelation on this tournament, Iraq is actually tied with Gilas in the standings as the Middle Eastern squad comes in at 3-2 as well.
