"The Shot" of course is the booming triple hit by Justin Brownlee on Durham's face at the buzzer of Game 6 during last season's Governors' Cup Finals.

"The Shot" ended Ginebra's eight-year PBA title drought as the Gin Kings won the series, 4-2. Almost a year after the fact, Allen Durham still has the memory fresh in his mind.

Although it's not exactly a bad memory overall.

"I don't think I'll ever forget it," Durham said after he played his first game of the 2017 Governors' Cup with the Meralco Bolts.

"Just the magnitude of that moment, I've never been in that type of situation. It's a great memory to have, it didn't work out for me but we will try to correct it this year," the reigning Best Import added.

While it may take a while to find out if Meralco can ultimately exorcise its Finals demons, the Bolts and Durham can take one win back from the barangay as the Bolts and the Gin Kings meet for an early rematch Sunday.

Durham is looking forward to it, obviously.

"They are one of the better teams in the league, it's always good to play against the best competition," he said.

Meeting Brownlee for the first time since "The Shot", Durham is excited about that too.

"It will be good to see him on Sunday," he said.
