Matthew Dellavedova has been happily married for three weeks now and he has found the perfect way to keep his wedding ring close even if he plays basketball.
Because he can't actually wear his wedding ring while on the basketball court, Delly has decided to keep it on his shoe, tying it on his laces to keep it close while he shoots some hoops.
It makes perfect sense, it let's everyone know that he's taken and also, it's a nice way not to lose his ring.
Because it would be rather awkward if he has to tell his new wife that he lost his wedding ring.
"I think I'm not gonna be able to wear it in a game. So I wanna keep things the same and if I put it anywhere else I'll probably lose it and then I'll be in trouble," Delly, who is in town for Peak to promote his first signature shoe, told ABS-CBN Sports Friday.
"So I think the safest way is to put it on my shoe," he added.
The little gesture let's everyone know that he's taken and it's a nice way not to lose his ring. Also, it's sorta kinda a crafty method to promote the Peak Delly 1.
Anna Schroeder, Delly's lovely wife, says that she's not going to mind if that much if her husband loses his wedding ring while playing basketball.
She revealed that Delly actually tends to lose his stuff every now and then although she hopes that he can actually hold on to his ring.
And tying it to his shoes seems like the perfect way to go.
"I'm a pretty low-key person so I wouldn't be too frustrated," Schroeder told ABS-CBN Sports.
"But he also loses his keys and wallet a lot so I hope he can hold on to this and I think that's probably a good place for him to keep it [on his shoe]," she added.
