What's up with Terrence Romeo's sneakers?
In his first game for the 2017 Governors' Cup, Romeo was still wearing bright red kicks but the ones he put on were definitely not Peak.

As the first local basketball player to sign with Chinese sportswear Giant Peak, Terrence Romeo has played all games this season with his bright red sneakers.

In his first game for the 2017 Governors' Cup, Romeo was still wearing bright red kicks but the ones he put on were definitely not Peak.

While he taped over the logo, Romeo was obviously wearing the Nike Kobe 9 Elite low Friday against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

It remains unclear why Romeo made the switch but him taping over the Swoosh logo is a clear indication that he remains connected with the brand and the gesture is only probably to avoid any on contract violations.

While he wore Nike shoes, Romeo wore Peak socks and the green logo was clearly visible.

With the brand going heavy on promotion this week with the arrival of Milwaukee Bucks guard Matthew Dellavedova for the Peak Delly 1, it's interesting why the Bro suddenly made the switch.

But never fear though, Terrence Romeo is still a Peak athlete. ABS-CBN Sports got in touch with Jojo Ladaban, COO of Pro Star Mktg. Corp. (PEAK) and he confirmed that the Globalport star is staying put.

"He's [Terrence] still with Peak pa rin, no worries," he said in a message that was accompanied by a photo of Romeo with Dellavedova.

Maybe Romeo's latest shipment got delayed? We'll have to put Terrence Romeo on sneaker watch for now as the Governors' Cup starts to heat up.
