Perlas Pilipinas is getting a feel of just how tough it is to play in Division A.
The Philippine national women's team absorbed another humbling defeat Monday in the 2017 FIBA-Asia Cup for women, this time a 65-107 beating at the hands of Australia at the Kanteevera Indoor Stadium in Bangalore, India.
A day after losing to defending champion Japan by 51 points, Perlas didn't fare any better against the Australians and dropped to 0-2 in Group B play.
Janine Pontejos led the Philippines in scoring, going for 18 points while Allana Lim was good for 11.
Perlas will try to break into the win column on Tuesday, facing off against South Korea at 6:00 p.m.
