There was definitely no love lost between San Miguel and TNT.

A month after ending a highly-emotional Commissioner's Cup Finals, the Beermen and the KaTropa were at it again, engaging in a scrappy affair early in their respective Governors' Cup schedule.

The result was more of the same with San Miguel winning and more than a couple of technical fouls being handed to each side but one particular play was Finals-esque, as if Wednesday's matchup was Game 8 between the two PBA superpowers.

In another incident in the first half, Chriss Ross ran into a hard screen by TNT rookie RR Pogoy. With tension carrying over, Ross confronted Pogoy.

The Gilas cadet was not backing down of course.

In the end, after Ross managed to also exchange heated words with Jayson Castro, cooler heads prevailed.

One thing that's interesting however, is that Pogoy was involved in another altercation with the Beermen. If you need to refresh your memory, just think about Arwind Santos and "nutcracker" case,

Yes, it seems Pogoy and San Miguel really don't get along. In fact, TNT and San Miguel do not get along at all it seems.

"He's a good player," Ross said when asked about Pogoy. "I told him he's a really good player, don't get involved in anything else just play the game the right way."

Ross seems to take issue with Pogoy's alleged extra-curricular activities on the court and the veteran guard says the TNT rookie might want to consider changing his style a little bit.

"You're representing the country with Gilas, you're there for a reason," the 2017 Commissioner's Cup BPC continued.

"He's a very talented player so that's what I told him. And he's young in the league and he'll be in this league for a long time and you gonna get better," he added.
