Ross admits that TNT import Craig is a "good player"

The bad blood goes way back for Ross and Craig.
San Miguel already had an issue with Michael Craig before TNT's Governors' Cup import even played a game in the PBA, let alone play a game against the Beermen.
For some context, Craig was allegedly involved in an altercation during Game 3 of the Commissioner's Cup Finals, a San Miguel win.
All of that tension from the heated contest prompted Chris Ross to say this afterwards: “The guy told me he's playing next conference, I said I'm not worried about the next conference I'm worried about the game right now. If that's what he wants to do is talk then he'll have his time to back it up next conference."
"I heard he's a really good player, hope he is," Ross said last June 25.
On Wednesday, Ross and the Beermen finally met Craig in a TNT uniform. And just like the Commissioner's Cup Finals, it was San Miguel that had the last laugh.
Ross definitely found out that Craig was a pretty good player himself evem though the bruising KaTropa import tallied only, 16 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, and three steals, a far cry from his triple-double performance to start the season-ending joust last week.
"He's a good player. He's a big boy, he's a great passer," Ross said.
"I think the more he gets used to his team the more he gets better. He's a competitor and I'm a competitor too so it's two guys competing that's it. He's a good player," he added.
More important that settling their issues with Craig and TNT, the Beermen have moved on to 2-0 to start their Grand Slam bid.
Ross, who won the Best Player of the Conference award in the Commissioner's Cup, says it's great that all is going according to plan early on.
"I mean it's always big to get a win. It's a short tournament, every win matters so I'm satisfied that we're 2-0 but I think we can play better of course," he said.
