In an otherwise flawless outing by Meralco Sunday against Kia, Cliff Hodge leaving the game due to injury was the only bummer for the Bolts.

The energetic forward exited the game during the second quarter following a bad landing. Hodge says it might be a sprain but is going straight to the hospital to make sure.

"It feels like a sprain because I've had plenty of sprains before. Feels like it's kind of swollen so we'll see," he said.

"I'm gonna go to the hospital right now, have an X-ray, just to make sure everything's fine. Then we'll go from there," Hodge added who wound up with zero points and three rebounds after barely 13 minutes of play.

Hodge sustained his injury after a freak accident during one particular Kia play.

The former first round pick was trying to make a defensive play before he apparently landed on the foot of a Picanto player.

"Just got caught underneath one of the Kia players," Hodge said.

"I was hustling back on defense and then I went to go block a guy's shot. I just landed on his foot and turned my anke," he added.
