Long a Rain or Shine stalwart, Jeff Chan will now be suiting up for the Phoenix Fuel Masters
The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters completed a pair of trades to shake up their roster in the on-going PBA Governors’ Cup, Monday.
In the first trade, the Elasto Painters sent former national team gunner Jeff Chan to the Phoenix Fuel Masters, in exchange for Mark Borboran and Phoenix’s 2020 second-round pick (not a first-round pick, as initially reported).
The team then completed a swap of Gilas cadets, acquiring Ed Daquioag from the Meralco Bolts, while the latter squad picked up Mike Tolomia.
Both transactions were confirmed by the league via their official Twitter account.
Chan is averaging 9.0 points and 1.7 assists, while shooting 28.6 percent from deep this tournament. Borboran on the other hand has seen his minutes ramp up in recent games, but is norming a mere 2.8 markers and 2.4 boards.
Tolomia and Daquioag have both barely hit the court this conference.
Rain or Shine is currently in the bottom half of the standings with a 1-2 record. Phoenix is 2-3, while Meralco is undefeated after four outings.
