Hawkeyes sink Marinerong Pilipino to make D-League Finals

Raymar Jose, who may have probably played his final game of this D-League conference since he's off to Malaysia for the SEA Games, led Cignal to the Finals with 24 points and 11 rebounnds.
Marinerong Pilipino's inspired run in the 2017 Foundation Cup came to a screeching halt at the hands of Cignal.
The Hawkeyes advanced to a second straight D-League Finals after scoring a dominant 87-64 win Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Cignal swept Marinerong Pilipino in their best-of-3 semifinal showdown, 2-0.
Opening up an 11-point lead after three quarters, the Hawkeyes turned the heat up in the fourth to finally sink Marinerong Pilipino.
The Hawkeyes unloaded an 11-0 run in the middle of the fourth to go up by 23 points, 77-54, to practically put the game on ice.

Pamboy Raymundo was also effective for the Hawkeyes, going for 18 points while JB Villarias and Jonathan Uyloan added 16 and 15 points respectively.
"We're happy we made it to the Finals. It's been a tough conference for us. Hopefully we'll finish it with a championship," head coach Boyet Fernandez said.
The Skippers, who crashed the semifinals after a late-tournament streak, got 17 points each from Jeff Javillonar and Robert Herndon.
