Scorpions stun Flying V to make PBA D-League Finals

CEU outlasted Flying V in a sudden death Game 3 to advance to the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Finals.

The Scorpions scored a stunning 72-67 win over Flying V Thursday at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig, advancing to the Finals of the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
Down 0-1 in the semifinals, CEU completed the mighty series comeback and will now the face Cignal HD Hawkeyes in the championship round.
Despite trailing almost all game long, the Scorpions managed to hit the more crucial baskets in the end game.
Tied at 60 at the halfway point of the fourth, CEU went on a crucial rally, even taking its largest lead of the game at five, 69-64.
Orlan Wamar came off the bench to power the CEU offense with 17 points. Art Aquino added 13.
Carlo Casino scored 12 for the Scorpions while Rodrigue Ebondo and Joseph Manlangit finished with 11 points apiece.
Despite winning 10 straight games, including the series opener, Flying V failed to advance to the Finals.
Jeron Teng led the Thunder with 19 points, five rebounds, and six assists.
