Host Malaysia stands in the way of Group A sweep for Gilas

Finaly finding its groove, Gilas Pilipinas will look to sweep Group A in the men's basketball competition of the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur.
Dropping a 95-point hammer on Myanmar to off set a rough outing against Thailand, the Philippines will now take on host Malaysia in order to complete a three-game sweep.
Malaysia lost to Thailand and is out to stage a major upset to advance in the semifinals.
Only the top-2 teams per group will advance and the Thais are expected to beat Myanmar to finish with a 2-1 mark.
The Philippines-Malaysia clash will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the MABA Stadium.
