Jose is 2017 Foundation Cup MVP
Jose beat favorite Jeron Teng of Flying V for the award as well as his Cignal teammate Jason Perkins.

While his conference ended early because he has Gilas Pilipinas duties to fulfill, Raymar Jose did enough in the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup to win Most Valuable Player.

The bruising forward was named MVP Thursday before his team, Cignal HD, took on the CEU Scorpion in Game 2 of their championship series.

Even without Jose, who played his last game in the semifinals, the Hawkeyes scored the sweep to win the title.

Jose beat favorite Jeron Teng of Flying V for the award as well as his Cignal teammate Jason Perkins.

Raymar went 12.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game in the Foundation Cup. He's currently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the 2017 Southeast Asian Games.

Jose is the third former FEU player to win PBA D-League MVP in two years after Mac Belo (Aspirant's Cup) and Mike Tolomia (Foundation Cup) in 2016.
