Ginebra stays hot at the expense of ice cold Aces

Import Justin Brownlee was the high man for the Gin Kings as he pumped 22 points on top of 10 rebounds and five assists.
Ginebra continues to roll and Alaska continues to slide.
The defending champion Gin Kings extended the Aces' misery in the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup, scoring a 94-80 win Saturday at th Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
The victory was Ginebra's fourth straight in its title defense as the Gin Kings moved to 4-1 in the season-ending joust.
Alaska, meanwhile, dropped a 14th straight outing dating back to the Commissioner's Cup, setting a new record for a franchise-worst losing skid. The Aces are now 0-6 in the Governors' Cup.
Coming from a mini break didn't slow down Ginebra as the Gin Kings opened up a double-digit lead right in the first period.
Ginebra's advantage reached 22 points in the third period before Alaska rallied to cut it to nine points in the final two minutes.
It wasn't enough.

Japeth Aguilar, returning from Gilas Pilipinas duty, scored 15 off the bench and grabbed 11 boards.
Calvin Abueva, also returning from a tour of duty with the national team, led the Aces with 22 ponts and 13 rebounds in a losing effort.
