TNT detonates on Blackwater to score 21-point win
Glen Rice Jr. was impressive again as TNT rolled to back-to-back wins.

All TNT needed was a technical difficulty to break the spirit of Blackwater.

The KaTropa put an end to the Elite's franchise-best three-game winning streak Wednesday at the MOA Arena, scoring a pretty convincing 117-96 victory in the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup.

The game was pretty competitive to start but action was stopped early in the second period after the MOA Arena experienced problems with its sound system.

Once action resumed, the KaTropa went on a big run that turnd a 30-25 lead into a 62-40 lead at the break.

"Ang objective namin going into every game is to look for improvements. We are all aware that the situation right now is not quite well yet. We are looking for stability now. As a coach, I expect my players to play smart," Nash Racela said.

"Today, we are all satisfied with this game. It also helped that we are getting to be complete as team," he added.

The now 4-2 TNT outscored Blackwater by 19 in that big second quarter and would go on to lead by as many as 27 points early in the second half.

Glen Rice Jr. was sensational for the KaTropa, dropping 31 points, 28 coming during the middle quarters, on top of six rebounds, four assists, and seven steals. He did not play in the fourth quarter anymore.

Kelly Williams was also solid for TNT, dropping 21 points off the bench. Jayson Castro added 11 on a reserve role.

The Elite, who dropped to 3-4, got 33 points from Henry Walker in a losing effort. JP Erram was the top local for Blackwater with 18 markers.
