Ginebra's already imposing frontline gets an upgrade after the Gin Kings traded for Art Dela Cruz.

Brgy. Ginebra's frontline just got more imposing.

The defending Governors' Cup champions have traded for Art Dela Cruz, aquiring the former San Beda forward from Blackwater in exchange for Chris Ellis.

In a report by PBA Press Corps president Gerry Ramos, the deal also involves Dave Marcelo and Raymund Aguilar. The trade is expected to be approved by the Commissioner's office.

Dela Cruz has been out of commission since he hurt his ankle during the start of Gilas Pilipinas camp. Ellis has been seldom used in the Ginebra wing rotation with the continued rise of Scottie Thompson and Kevin Ferrer.

The Gin Kings, featuring Greg Slaughter, Japeth Aguilar, Joe Devance, and import Justin Brownlee, are currently on a five-game winning run in the season-ending conference.

Blackwater, meanwhile, went on a franchise-best three-game streak before finally losing to TNT Sunday.
