The crowd-favorite from Gilas Pilipinas has made himself available for the PBA Draft.
Fil-German Christian Standhardinger officially submitted his application Monday via email to the Commissioner's office.
This despite the fact that Standhardinger has signed a six-month contract to play for the Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions in the Asean Basketball League.
The 6'7" Standhardinger has earned the admiration of Filipino hoop fans after he served triple duty for the Philippine national team.
Standhardinger first suited up in the Jones Cup where Gilas Pilipinas ended up fourth.
With Andray Blatche unavailable, Standhardinger backed up Gilas in Lebanon for the 2017 FIBA-Asia Cup where the country landed 7th. However, he had to leave Beirut early to fly to Malaysia for the 2017 Southeast Asian Games.
Standhardinger helped the Philippines win gold in Kuala Lumpur.
The 2017 PBA Draft will take place on October 29. The other marquee name already included in the list is La Salle's Jeron Teng.
