The Beast controlling eagerness as Alaska starts playoff chase

What happens if you somehow lose 14 straight, going five months in a season without a win? You almost become too eager to win.
If you lose two, maybe three games in a row, you're going to be eager to bounce back and get a win.
If you lose one game in fact, you're going to be eager to win the next one immediately.
But what happens if you somehow lose 14 straight, going five months in a season without a win?
You almost become too eager to win. However, deep down, you still have to manage those emotions, knowing full well that a frustrating slide can happen again.
Calvin Abueva and Alaska are doing just that after the Aces finally scored a winning streak following five months of misery.
"Sobra," the Beast said if eagerness has been a regular thing for Alaska now after suffering a historic (for the wrong reasons) 14-game losing skid that started in the Commissioner's Cup and ended in the ongoing Governors' Cup.
"Pero syempre, inuunti-unti namin, di naman basta basta makakapasok ng ganun," he added, talking about the Aces' slim playoff chances followin a win over Globalport Friday.
With a 2-6 record, Alaska can still make the postseason, however, it's going to take near-perfect basketball for the Aces to advance.
But a two-game winning run is a step in the right direction though.
"Di pa papa-sigurado itong win na ito, wala pa to," Abueva said.
"Naranasan namin na straigt losses kaya kailangan namin makapasok ng playoffs para dun namin maramdaman kung yun na talaga kami," he added.
