Blackwater set to acquire Allein Maliksi from Star
The Elite are expected to let go go Bam Gamalinda and Kyle Pascual to complete the transaction that is already pending approval by the Commissioner's office.

Allein Maliksi's time as the number 1 gunner for Star proved to be short lived.

As reported by PBA Press Corps president Gerry Ramos, Maliksi is set to join Blackwater in a trade that also involves Hotshots rookie Chris Javier.

The Elite are expected to let go go Bam Gamalinda and Kyle Pascual to complete the transaction that is already pending approval by the Commissioner's office.

After Star traded away James Yap, Maliksi has emerged as the team's top gunner although the former UST product has been inconsistent at best.

Maliksi would have stretches of utmost dominance, leading to him making the Gilas Pilipinas lineup that won gold in the 2017 SEABA Championship, but he would also have some quiet nights. In his last two games, he scored a combined 11 points including a four-point outing in the Hotshots' latest Manila Clasico loss.

Javier has seen limited minutes for Star after getting drafted 5th by the team last year.

Gamalinda has been a solid contributor for the Elite as Blackwater contines to wheel and deal in the Governors' Cup. The Ever Bilena franchise recently acquired Dave Marcelo and Chris Ellis with another two-for-two trade with Ginebra.
