SEIZE THE DAY: Tolomia takes advantage of Meralco opportunity to post career outing

Tolomia, who has reinforced a previously thin Meralco backcourt, now has more chances to show off with the Bolts.
Mike Tolomia didn't really have that many chances with Rain or Shine, the PBA team that drafed him as a Gilas Pilipinas cadet.
To be fair, the Elasto Painters are stacked with guards.
The same cannot be said with Meralco and it was almost too easy for the Bolts to pull the trigger on trade that sent Ed Daquioag to ROS and Tolomia to coach Norman Black's crew.
Tolomia, who has reinforced a previously thin Meralco backcourt, now has more chances with the Bolts.
And the former FEU Tamaraw is making sure to seize every opportunity for his new team.
The latest and best example came Friday in the 2017 Governors' Cup where Mike T exploded for a career-high 24 points during a convincing 106-78 win over the Alaska Aces.
Tolomia was a perfect 6-of-6 from beyond the arc and he made five treys in the first half alone. He finished with 8-of-9 shooting overall.
"Coming into this game, ready lang talaga ako," Tolomia said.
"Nabibigyan na tayo ng chance eh. So dapat i-grab na talaga natin," he added.
With Meralco's continued high level of play coinciding with Baser Amer's rise as one of the top point guards in the league, Tolomia's MO is to at least match the Hammer's production while he's on the floor.
Match and/or surpass it even. Both options are good to go.
"Di naman maganda kung pagpasok ko bababa yung laro ng team. Dapat ma-sustain ko kung anong tinatakbo ni Baser sa umpisa," he said.
