Former PBA player Cris Bolado dies in motorcycle accident

Former PBA player Cristiano "Cris" Bolado died on his way to the hospital following a motorcycle accident in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Sunday morning. 

According to reports, Bolado was driving a motorcycle that was struck by an Isuzu pickup truck at around 9:35 am, Sunday morning at the Tbong Khmum province in Phnom Penh. 

Bolado suffered a severely broken left foot and was to be transported to a nearby medical facility, but died on the way. 

He was 48. 

Known as the "Lucky Charm", Bolado played for the National Univesity Bulldogs before getting drafted in the 1994 PBA draft, taken by Alaska in the second round. 

He went on to win eleven championships in his career before retiring in 2003.
