With the upcoming FIBA Asia Champions Cup, there's a very real possibilty that the Philippines will see a showdown between Andray Blatche and Isaiah Austin.
As of right now, Isaiah Austin is not really looking to replace Andray Blatche as the naturalized center of Gilas Pilipinas.
At least not yet.
But with the upcoming FIBA Asia Champions Cup, there's a very real possibilty that the Philippines will see a showdown between Blatche and Austin.
On one corner is the current naturalized center for Gilas and on the other side is the young beast many are seeing as the next in line to man the middle for Team Philippines.
We don't know what Blatche thinks but if and when the mega showdown happens, Austin is going to take it to Andray.
"I'm excited, it's always exciting to be able to go against great competition," the 23-year-old former Baylor star said.
"But as a basketball player, I was thought to nevery back down from anybody. When it comes time for us to match up, I'm gonna play hard, that's all I can do," he added.
The Austin-led Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas is in Group A while defending champion China Kashgar, bannered by Andray Blatche, is in Group B.
