Alab Pilipinas will be getting back one of its key cogs while also welcoming a big-time boost for the looming 2017-2018 Asean Basketball League.
Versatile Lo Domingo will be returning for another tour of duty for the Philippines.
Introducing himself to everybody a year ago, the 23-year-old emerged as the perfect complement to fellow Filipino-American Ray Parks Jr. He served as the squad’s hustle player as well as defensive specialist.
And now, Domingo will have a more imposing frontcourt partner in American Ivan Johnson.
The six-foot-eight, 255-pound center is a menacing inside presence who will also bring much-needed attitude to a squad which fell a notch below top two Hong Kong and Singapore last season.
Johnson was last seen by the Filipinos reinforcing TNT all the way to the championship in the 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup. He also played two seasons for the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA.
Domingo and Johnson will flank reigning and defending Local MVP Parks Jr. for reloaded Alab..
The Alapag-guided and Parks Jr.-bannered Filipinos will once again see action in the ABL commencing later in the year. All of the action will still be on S+A, S+A HD, and sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/abl.
