Bolts target share of first anew vs. also-ran Globalport
The Bolts have three teams breathing down their necks and a win against the 3-7 Batang Pier means that defending champion Ginebra will have some company at the top.

Playoff positioning continues in the PBA Friday as two more teams look to secure their desired spots for the 2017 Governors' Cup quarterfinals.

In the first game at 4:15 p.m., the Star Hotshots take on winless Kia Picanto with the SMC crown jewel looking to pick up momentum before moving on to the next round.

Star is 1-4 in its last five games but it can still make a play for a twice-to-beat advantage if it can sweep its last two outings.

Standing in the way of the Hotshots are the Picanto who are simply eyeing a win to end their season. Kia is 0-10 in the Governors' Cup.

In the second game at 7:00 p.m., the 7-2 Meralco Bolts are out to force a tie for first place again as they take on also-ran Globalport.

The Bolts have three teams breathing down their necks and a win against the 3-7 Batang Pier means that defending champion Ginebra will have some company at the top.

All games are live from the MOA Arena.
