"Hopefully that will inspire some change when it comes to what we tolerate in this country and what is accepted." Warriors star Stephen Curry on his choice to not visit the White House.
United States president Donald Trump did not take kindly to the Golden State Warriors' hesitation in visiting the White House.
It has been a tradition for U.S. champion sports teams to visit the Executive Mansion, but the 2017 NBA champions said they are yet to come to an agreement on whether to honor or forgo the invite.
Warriors' point guard Stephen Curry voice out his stern disapproval of visiting the polarizing president.
“By acting and not going, hopefully that will inspire some change when it comes to what we tolerate in this country and what is accepted and what we turn a blind eye to,” Curry said, as per Janie McCauley of the Associated Press.
It irked Trump so much that he rescinded the invite via Twitter.
