Ginebra out to end SMB's Grand Slam bid
Something has got to give.

Something has to give and it's either San Miguel's Grand Slam hopes or Ginebra's bid for back-to-back titles.

The 2017 Governors' Cup quarterfinals continue Wednesday at the MOA Arena and the main even at 7:00 p.m. pits the SMC sister teams in a crucial tiff.

Defending champion and no. 3 seed Ginebra holds twice-to-beat edge against the no. 6 Beermen but the Gin Kings can't help but worry a little bit since they've had little luck against San Miguel not only this conference but for the entire season.

But still, by virtue of its record and everything else, Ginebra will come in as the favorite in this matchup and San Miguel's Grand Slam hopes are in big, big danger.

In the first game at 4:15 p.m., no. 2 TNT will look to advance to a third straight semis appearance this season as they take on no. 7 Rain or Shine.

The KaTropa also have a twice-to-beat advantage in this quarterfinal pairing.
