Elite out to complete upset of top-seeded Bolts
Behind the heroics of Allein Maliksi, Blackwater forced a decider against Meralco after scoring a pulsating 92-91 win to start the quarterfinals.

After pulling off a stunning upset to start the playoffs, no. 8 Blackwater is looking to complete the job as the Elite takes on no. 1 Meralco again in the 2017 Governors' Cup quarterfinals.

Behind the heroics of Allein Maliksi, Blackwater forced a decider after scoring a pulsating 92-91 win Tuesday.

However, the Elite did barely escape with a win and it will take an even bigger effort to truly put away the top-seeded Bolts.

Despite a bummber start to its playoff drive, Meralco is still pretty confident about its chances of advancing to the semifinals.

The Bolts are no. 1 for a reason although a repeat performance as last time out, where they made too many defensive lapses, could prove costly.

Tip off for this knockout game is at 7:00 p.m. Thursday live from the Big Dome. The winner will meet no. 4 Star in the next round.
