"I'll be ready for Sunday. The doctor already got a plan of action and we'll get back and work on it." --- Allen Durham on his injured ankle.
Meralco head coach Norman Black has made it known that his team has no backup import for Allen Durham.
That means the no. 1 Bolts will probably be at a slight disadvantage against Star in the semifinals of the Governors' Cup. At least until Durham works his way back to peak health after suffering a late injury in Meralco's quarterfinal series vs. Blackwater.
On Thursday during a knockout game against the Elite, Durham sprained his ankle in the fourth quarter. He managed to come back to finish the win but he's clearly compromised.
"It's still a little tender right now. You know, the adrenalin of the game kinda wore off so it's now kinda setting in," he said about his bum ankle.
Despite not being 100 percent, no way Durham is missing the series against Star.
He says he's going to be ready to go for Game 1 against the Hotshots on Sunday.
"Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah. I'll be ready for Sunday. The doctor already got a plan of action and we'll get back and work on it," Durham said.
