Meralco suspends Kelly Nabong for scuffle with Alapag
The Bolts have suspended Nabong indefinitely for getting into an altercation with assistant coach Jimmy Alapag at the team's own bench during Game 1 of the PBA Governors' Cup semifinals last Sunday against Star.

It didn't take long for Meralco to solve its internal dispute involving assistant coach Jimmy Alapag and reserve Kelly Nabong.

The Bolts have suspended Nabong indefinitely for getting into an altercation with Alapag at the team's own bench during Game 1 of the PBA Governors' Cup semifinals last Sunday against Star.

The two were seen exchaning heated words and had to be separated by cooler heads.

Afterwards, Nabong never joined the team's huddle for the rest of the game as the Bolts completed yet another comeback for an early 1-0 series lead.

"Kelly Nabong is suspended indefinitely for conduct unbecoming of a PBA player and for conduct detrimental to the team," Meralco said in a statement.

The Bolts go for a 2-0 series lead Tuesday against the Hotshots.
